At the Lookout we believe in having a seasonally changing menu. Recommendations are added daily by our chefs, especially to use the fresh produce from our local fishermen and suppliers. Our food is freshly cooked to order by an accomplished team of chefs. To compliment the astounding views, location and service, we are proud to offer one of the best dining experiences in Cornwall. Cornwall is well represented, which becomes evident when you are presented with and then taste our food. There is a certain romance about the fact that the seafood you are eating comes directly from the view in front of you. Minimal table dressing allows the natural beauty of the views from our windows to shine throughOur walls are adorned with original contemporary artwork from Jackie Hollingsbee, complemented by careful use of lighting and candle light to create a delicate ambience of shadows and light. Unrivalled views of the sun kissed beach of Porthminster, wide open spaces and dramatic shores of the Cornish coastline to Godrevey Lighthouse. Our stylish restaurant makes a fantastic location for any dining experience; whether it’s watching sunrise at breakfast, the day go by at lunchtime looking for seals or dolphins in the bay, or romantic dining in the evening. Our bar design is modern, open and airy, with large windows that allow the guest to watch the world go by. Bespoke furniture, natural colours and reclaimed wood finishing create a blend of the modern and classic. Drink and food is chosen carefully. Our bar is a perfect place to meet friends and colleagues for a drink after work, lunch or dinner. Wine plays a central part, with a large range of wines from around the world all selected to be enjoyed on their own or with food. We pride ourselves on the highest levels of drink, food, service and genuine hospitality, creating a real ''home from home'' feel. We have some of the most beautiful outside dining areas with fantastic views; the perfect setting to dine alfresco and watch the world go by. All dishes are freshly prepared by our Chefs who use fresh ingredients that are sourced for their quality, taste and provenance. Our Bar stocks quality products varying from traditional Cornish ales to mineral waters from the family brewery of St Austell, with a wide selection of lagers, bottled beers, spirits and soft drinks to quench anyone’s thirst. Our substantial fair-trade coffee menu gives the discerning coffee drinker a choice that compares with any coffeehouse specialist. Designed by local Walter Hicks Wine Merchants, our wine list offers over 50 wines to choose from. Combining the favourites from the old world to the fresh wines of the new world, and even some from local vineyards. We have introduced some exciting and interesting wines with a large selection of Champagne and sparkling choices.
